Developing Expert Teachers
How Professional Development at Reach Schools Embeds Lasting Change By Ryan Holmes, Director of Reach Teacher Training, Reach Schools Teaching as a Learned Expertise Great teaching is not an innate…

Reach Schools believe in the power of a shared vision. We commit to providing a coherent education led by excellent educators and leaders in a positive school setting. We value the impact of strong relationships between a community of pupils, parents and teachers.
Reach Schools provide a range of exciting career opportunities, every year, due-to our growing schools. We place people at the centre of all that we do and take care of our teams.
Thinking about training to teach? Choose Reach. We offer high-quality training leading to QTS or QTS with PGCE. You’ll receive expert mentoring and support at every step, helping you to become the best teacher you can be and make a real difference in young people’s lives.

Every single child will gain the skills, attributes and academic qualifications to enjoy a life of choice and opportunity.

Our first school opened in 2012 and became the first all-through free school to be judged outstanding by Ofsted.

Our second school opened in Sep 2024, and is built on our previous success. We are welcoming applications to our September 2026 cohorts of Reception and Year 7 pupils.
We believe in the transformational power of relationships.
We commit to establishing, nurturing and valuing strong, trusting relationships throughout our school community. Our educators get to know students and their families, and our staff teams work together towards our goals.
We believe in a community joined by a shared vision.
We commit to working in partnership with our school community; identifying, celebrating and harnessing what’s great about where we live to improve outcomes for all of our children.
We embrace our role as community and industry leaders.
We model what it means to work in excellent teams with a shared vision. At every level, we listen to, encourage and train our staff and students so that they are able to succeed.
We believe consistency is key to success.
We commit to providing a coherent educational experience for every child — securing a clear pathway to a life of choice and opportunity.
We strive for excellence in everything we do.
We commit to always reflecting critically, seeking feedback, thinking creatively and acting intentionally in our pursuit of excellence. In every decision we thoroughly consider our vision.

Welcome to a collaborative platform for UK teachers to share best practice, engage in discussions about educational policies and topics, and attend events. We’re positive about the future of education and are intentional in seeing increased staff and student success, in and out of the classroom. Let’s do something extraordinary.
